Konotop mayor Artem Semenikhin stated on October 27 that the city has no estimated time for electricity restoration after four days without power.

The outage began following Russian drone attacks on the night of October 23. Semenikhin reported that most of the city has also lost its gas supply. He noted that local schools sustained damage and the city hospital now operates on backup generators. Water services run on a limited schedule, providing supply from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Semenikhin emphasized the uncertainty of the current situation. He wrote that there are no predictions for when the grid will return to normal. "Unfortunately, there are no forecasts for when power will be restored. No forecasts at all," he said.

Sumyoblenergo, the regional power distributor, confirmed that emergency crews are working continuously to fix the damaged energy facilities. The company said the repair duration depends on security conditions and crew access to the strike sites. Russian forces launched a large-scale drone attack on the Konotop hromada after 3:00 a.m. on October 24. The strikes hit energy infrastructure, a school, and residential buildings. A separate drone hit an agricultural business on the afternoon of October 24, killing one farm worker and injuring four others.

The city remains in its fourth consecutive day of darkness as of the night of October 26.
