Incumbent mayor Tracey Bailey has won re-election in Lakeshore, securing a decisive victory over two challengers in the Monday contest.
Unofficial results place Bailey at 8,399 votes. The runner-up, Argo Pace, received 1,782 votes, while Sam Sinjari garnered 1,399. The vote total confirms Bailey’s hold on the mayor's chair following a campaign centered on her 12 years of combined council service.
Bailey, who previously served as a councillor and deputy mayor, framed the outcome as validation of her administration's strategy. She described the result as a clear mandate to continue current policies and emphasized that the city will begin executing projects immediately upon taking office.
The financial core of Bailey's platform focuses on capital projects and growth. She stated that her administration attracted approximately $100 million in investment over the last four years. Bailey characterized this inflow as evidence that the region is prepared for major construction and development.
The mayor outlined three primary priorities for her next term: infrastructure investment, affordability protections, and the creation of complete communities. These goals align with the municipality's ongoing expansion and the need for sustained economic growth.
Bailey expressed gratitude for the resident support, noting the win allows her to move forward with a strong mandate. The result leaves Bailey in a position to lead the city's next phase of development without opposition from the two main challengers.
