Carlo Uriel, a collaborator of journalist Flor Rubio, spoke to Bozzo's daughter, Alejandra de la Fuente, on social media. Uriel reported that the daughter confirmed Bozzo is in a very delicate state of health. He added that the family is asking for prayers for her quick recovery.
Bozzo underwent surgery on October 13 for a ruptured gastric ulcer. Following the procedure, she was transferred to a hospital in Mexico City, where she remains hospitalized. The rumors of her death began circulating on X on Tuesday afternoon.
Actor Alfredo Adame posted an image on his Instagram profile on Tuesday that read, Laura Bozzo rests in peace. He later deleted the post. The incident contributed to the wave of speculation that prompted the family's official response on Wednesday.
