Open Enrollment for 2027 Marketplace health insurance opens on November 1, 2026. Residents of DuPage County can sign up or renew coverage through Get Covered Illinois until January 15, 2027.

The DuPage County Health Department, known as DCHD, provides certified benefit staff to assist applicants. These workers help people compare plans, apply for financial aid, and complete their enrollment. Tax credits are available to lower costs for eligible families.

Individuals who lack job-based insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, or other credible coverage like Veteran’s Benefits can enroll. Those who already hold Marketplace plans should review their current options during this period. Staff members can examine accounts and identify new plan choices that may better fit a household’s needs.

A deadline of December 15, 2026, applies to those seeking coverage that begins on January 1, 2027. Applicants must finalize their plan selection by that date to ensure the effective start date matches their preference.

To schedule help, residents should call (630) 682-7400. The department allocates 90 minutes for new clients and 60 minutes for renewals. More information is available at www.dupagehealth.org/healthinsurance and getcovered.illinois.gov.
