Three local prep football analysts have made their selections for Week 9 of the high school football season, and they are in close agreement across a 15-game slate that includes both Marysville public high schools.

The panel consists of Aaron Coe, sports editor of The Herald, Tom Lafferty of KRKO Radio, and Steve Willits, co-host of Prep Sports Weekly. Each of them weighed in on the same set of games.

For Marysville Getchell, the outlook is the same from all three. Coe, Lafferty and Willits each picked Meadowdale to beat the Chargers. Marysville-Pilchuck is hosting Nooksack Valley, but none of the three listed a pick for that game.

Elsewhere, the experts were unanimous on a long list of results. All three chose Snohomish over Shorecrest, Sultan over Lakewood, Lake Stevens over Kamiak, Arlington over Jackson, and Glacier Peak over Mariner. They also all backed Mountlake Terrace over Monroe, Stanwood over Cascade, and Sedro-Woolley over Edmonds-Woodway.

The unanimous picks continue with King's over Granite Falls, Tulalip Heritage over Neah Bay, and Darrington over Crescent.

The only true split came in the matchup between Archbishop Murphy and Lynden. Coe and Lafferty both chose Archbishop Murphy, while Willits went with Lynden. In the game between Everett and Shorewood, Coe and Willits picked Shorewood. Lafferty listed the game as Everett at Shorewood without naming a winner.

The records show how the season has gone for each of them. Coe went 13-4 last week and holds a season record of 122-23. Lafferty went 12-5 last week and is 117-28 for the year. Willits had the best week of the group at 14-3, and his season mark stands at 114-31.

With so many identical selections, the final results will likely move all three records in similar directions. The few games where the experts diverged or declined to choose a winner could be what separates them in the standings.
