Highs reach the 60s and 70s along I-25 on Wednesday, but a low-pressure system could bring moisture and colder air by the weekend.

Southern Colorado is in for another quiet day on Wednesday, October 28, with temperatures running above average and only a few extra clouds in the sky. A small disturbance passing through the mountains will push some upper-level clouds into the region during the afternoon, though sunshine is still expected to break through and lift highs into the 60s and 70s along the I-25 corridor.
In Pueblo, the morning will start in the 30s, with a forecast low of 37 degrees, so a coat will be useful early. By the afternoon the high should reach 72 degrees. Winds are expected to stay calm at 5 to 10 mph, and a few more clouds will arrive later in the day.
Colorado Springs will begin with lows in the 40s, with a forecast low of 39, and climb to a high of 68. Skies will see some added clouds in the afternoon, but forecasters still expect plenty of sunshine and calm winds of 5 to 10 mph. Canon City is forecast to reach 69 degrees after a low of 41, with light winds and a few more clouds in the afternoon.
Higher up, Woodland Park is expected to stay dry, with a morning low of 37 and an afternoon high of 60 under some upper-level clouds. In the Tri-Lakes area, including Monument, the morning will be chilly in the 30s, but no fog is expected. Temperatures should rise once the sun is up, reaching a high of 63 with light winds.
The eastern plains will see lows in the 30s and 40s, followed by warm and dry conditions with highs in the 70s. Forecasters say the rest of the week looks similar there, only slightly cooler. Farther south, Walsenburg and Trinidad start in the lower 40s and should reach 66 and 70 degrees respectively, staying dry with a few more upper-level clouds in the afternoon.
The mountains are off to a colder start, with lows in the 20s and 30s and readings below freezing this morning. Clouds are already moving in, but no moisture is forecast for the day. Afternoon highs should reach the 50s and 60s.
The extended outlook shows little change through most of the week, with highs in the 60s each day. A shift is expected over the weekend as a low-pressure system approaches. It could bring moisture to the I-25 corridor, and if the timing lines up with colder air, more areas could see snow.
Forecasters caution that much could still change before then. Highs are expected to fall into the 50s on Sunday and continue dropping into the beginning of next week.
