New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson said he does not want to be traded, though he admitted to deep frustration over the team's losing and his limited role in the offense. Speaking to reporters in Florham Park, New Jersey, on Wednesday, he said winning matters more to him than where he plays.

"Yeah, I want to be here, man," Wilson said. "I want to win games and that's the one thing we've been missing on here. I love it here. Do I love it more than I love winning? Nah, to be completely honest, but I'm hopeful."

Wilson was visibly upset on the sideline during the fourth quarter of the Jets' 28-25 loss to the previously winless Miami Dolphins on Sunday. He was targeted just three times, finishing with two catches for 26 yards. A week earlier, he was a nonfactor in a loss to the New England Patriots.

That frustration, along with the Nov. 10 trade deadline, has prompted speculation about whether he wants to remain with the club. Fifteen months ago, Wilson signed a four-year, $130 million contract extension that runs through 2030. The Jets traded cornerback Sauce Gardner at last year's deadline, a few months after he signed a four-year, $120 million extension, but there is no indication the team is looking to move Wilson, who is 26 and leads the Jets with 37 receptions and 444 yards.

Wilson acknowledged that losing and limited opportunities feed his frustration. "Throughout my experience, when things go right, I tend to have a part in that," he said. "And when it doesn't, it seems avoidable." He added that any anger visible on television comes from wanting to win and help the team, and he does not want it misconstrued.

His desire to be in a winning situation could still lead to a change of heart in the offseason. Wilson was the No. 10 pick in 2022, and the Jets are 24-41 since then, including 2-5 this season. They host the Las Vegas Raiders (3-4) on Sunday.

Coach Aaron Glenn has repeatedly said the team wants to get the ball to Wilson early and often, and offensive coordinator Frank Reich and quarterback Geno Smith have said the same. "I'm looking to get him the football as much as I can, but I have to be mindful of what the defense is doing as well," Smith said.

Coaches have said Wilson is drawing extra coverage, which creates chances for other receivers. Wilson pushed back on that idea, saying he would not say anyone is doing anything "Houdini or a superpower" to take him away. He said he enjoys seeing fellow receivers thrive and wants others to "earn their flowers," but that defenses still have to cover him. He has not shared his opinion with coaches, saying, "I think it's understood."

Another Jets player seeking more opportunity is cornerback Nahshon Wright, who told ESPN he is "definitely frustrated" by his lack of playing time. Wright, who had five interceptions last season for the Chicago Bears, has not played a defensive snap this year. Asked whether he has requested a trade, he said, "Not formally," but added that he has expressed his feelings to the team.

Wright signed a one-year, $3.5 million fully guaranteed contract expecting to compete for a starting job. He missed time in training camp with an injury and lost the job to Azareye'h Thomas. "I'm open to anything at this point," Wright said. "I just want to go where I can play, whether it's here or somewhere else."
