Tammy Bishop is asking Las Vegas residents to search their pockets, trash cans, and vehicle interiors for a specific wedding band. The ring went missing on Oct. 20, the same day Bishop and Will Mulroy exchanged vows at the Viva Las Vegas Chapel. For Bishop, who resides in South Dakota, the loss has taken on a new weight following her husband’s death three days later.

The couple spent their wedding night on a party bus touring the Strip. Bishop said Mulroy looked down at his hand in a bar and realized the ring was gone. He began to cry, telling her the band was two sizes too large because he had recently lost weight. Bishop speculated it may have slid off while he transferred from his wheelchair or during the bus ride. The couple retraced their route and alerted the driver, but the ring was not recovered.

Mulroy died on Oct. 23. Bishop said he was in pain on the drive home and planned to visit an emergency room in South Dakota. The following morning, he could not be woken. Paramedics transported him to the hospital, where doctors declared him brain dead. His heart stopped three times in the emergency room. He remained on life support for 24 hours.

The couple met in July 2023 and began dating in March 2024. A week after starting the relationship, Mulroy was paralyzed in a motorcycle accident. Bishop said he initially felt anger but kept asking her to marry him. She agreed this summer. On her Oct. 4 birthday, he told her the Vegas wedding was fully booked and her friends were invited. She described that day as perfect, noting he was on cloud nine.

Bishop remembered Mulroy as a mechanically inclined man who worked at Fleet Farm. He had experience with party buses, and the couple had planned to start their own business in that sector. He did not rely on others for repairs. The wedding proceeded with the parties getting ready separately. Mulroy saw Bishop in her dress when she stepped onto the party bus.

Bishop said the rings had been blessed. She noted that finding the band would mean a great deal to her as a final physical connection to her husband. The search is ongoing, with Bishop hoping a stranger who found the item will contact her.

The couple’s timeline includes their meeting in 2023, the 2024 accident, the Oct. 4 announcement, and the Oct. 20 ceremony. Mulroy’s death occurred on Oct. 23. Bishop is the primary contact for the search.
