Wolf's Ridge Brewing will open The Wolf's Den on Friday, Nov. 6, introducing a cocktail-focused lounge to the historic Worthington Inn at 649 High St. in Old Worthington. The venue occupies a section of the inn that had remained unused since the brewery took over the property.
The establishment marks a shift for the company, which has built its reputation on beer production. The new menu applies similar craft standards to spirits, featuring inventive variations on standard drinks. Options include the Cosmo Noir, which mixes stone fruit vodka, cinnamon, cranberry, curaçao, and lemon. The Persephone's Kiss combines tequila, mezcal, pomegranate, Fresno chili, Cointreau, and lime, while the Bastille Door features rye whiskey, sweet potato, and spiced bitters.
Food offerings consist of shareable plates intended for the lounge setting. Loaded Pub Chips are topped with aged cheddar beer cheese, smoked bacon, and scallions. Den Meatballs are served with caramelized onion and ale gravy. A Sticky Toffee Sundae, pairing sticky toffee pudding with Irish whiskey ice cream, is available as a dessert option. Draft beer and wine will also be on the menu.
Bob Szuter, co-owner of Wolf's Ridge Brewing, stated that the inn has always been a place for people to come together. He noted that the team wanted to build on that tradition by bringing their creativity and craftsmanship to the property through a cocktail program.
The lounge is designed with cozy seating to create a relaxed atmosphere. It will operate on a first-come, first-served basis without reservations. Hours are set for 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursdays and Sundays, and 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The space will be available for private events from Monday through Wednesday. Groups seeking to book the room can contact events@wolfsridgebrewing.com.
The Worthington Inn has operated for nearly 200 years. The new lounge provides an additional reason for visitors to spend an evening inside the building. Updates on the venue are available through the Instagram handle @wrbworthingtoninn or the Worthington Inn website.
