Brewers fans filled Ope! Brewing Co. in West Allis on Monday night to watch Game 3 of the World Series, and they had plenty to cheer about as Milwaukee cruised to a 10-1 victory.

Among those in the crowd was Mary Lynn Fox, who took in the game with two generations of her family around her. With the Brewers now one win away from a World Series championship, Fox and her grandchildren were building a memory of their own.

The game offered a lot to celebrate. During one eight-minute stretch of the fifth inning, Milwaukee scored eight runs on seven consecutive hits, all with two outs. As each run came in, Fox wore the same expression while the excitement in the room kept growing.

The evening meant more than the score, though. Fox brought along a photo of herself at the 1982 World Series, a game she attended when a ticket cost just $8.

"So amazing! 44 years ago, you think you wouldn't remember it? I remember every detail," Fox said.

More than four decades later, she is adding another memorable moment to her collection. This time she was at a watch party rather than inside the stadium, with her family at her side.

"I'm a happy grandma," she said.

Asked by a TMJ4 reporter whether she expected to remember the night for a while, Fox did not hesitate. "Oh yes, oh yes. And these with my grandkids, I can't tell you how important it is for me to be here with my grandkids, that they came to be here," she said.

With one more win, Fox could see the Brewers claim a World Series championship, and she will have her family nearby if it happens.
